Owari no Kakara — Chapter 1 — Translation
Jul. 2nd, 2013 08:47 pmThis is a translation of Owari no Kakera, or, in English, Fragment of the End, one of the two official Persona 3 light novels (the other being Shadow Cry). As a disclaimer, I don't pretend to be a professional translator. My Japanese is pretty basic, and above all, this is translation practice for me, and its main goal isn't perfection (though I'm trying to be accurate) so much as to create a serviceable translation so that people who don't have access to the novel or understand the Japanese language can read it. So this translation is probably imperfect, and others could probably do better.
This book mainly revolves around Akihiko, though Mitsuru, Shinjiro, and (to a lesser extent) Yukari also play a pretty hefty role.
( With a snap, a crack ran through a bluish-black mask。 )

LEDE — Part II — Incomplete
Jan. 25th, 2012 08:52 pmTitle: LEDE
Fandom: Homestuck
Chapter: Part II: Life
Rating: PG-13. Same language warnings as before apply.
Alt Links:: You can also read the chapter here at AO3.
Previous Chapters: Part I: Time
Notes: Well. I apparently can't estimate the number of chapters there are going to be in a story unless I have a firm outline in hand. So yeah, this isn't exactly out of two anymore. Probably eight if my outline goes as planned.
Summary: You were never supposed to remember. That's not how the game was supposed to work. The scratch is called a hard reset for a reason. It means starting over from square one with a clean slate. Memories don’t come with the package, but you guess the game made some kind of special exception for you, because you remember. You remember everything, and you don’t know what to think.
Except that something must have gone terribly wrong.
(You chase the meteor like it's a falling star.)
